AUDxPER 2*74373 frequency divider, compares (OR 2*74520) to this value before decrementing AUDxLEN
AUDxLEN 2*74373 When decremented issues a datafetch and increments a shadow pointer when none 0, when 0 halt frequency divider.
AUDxLCL 2*74373 pointer to data, base
AUDxDAT 2*74373 Enabled output when the sample is required, FPGA implementation should be double buffered
AUDxVOL 1*74373 Controls the current mirror

Thanx veda,

Sorry for being persistent but why is it exactly you can't grab an replayroutine written in asm and play a mod ? You just need the replayroutine going, and afaik there is no difference there.

Okay, I managed to scrounge some parts together from some of my projects including an 68K, some RAM and an 6845 and made a custom 'CHAR' ROM.
I have enough parts to make a 2 channels of PAULA's audio sub system and a single bit plane.(Excluding Interrupts for the time being, those are on the way)

I just need to figure out how to read/write/refresh the FPDRAM chips, without too much glue logic.

My current limit is a need to keep the Pixel clock low enough, while the horizontal refresh is high enough for a standard VGA, I'll find a comprimise.
